      • Students who have access to Orion Self-Service (Student) in Galaxy may place an order for an official transcript using Orion Self-Service link in the Galaxy portal. Once logged in, choose the “Order Official Transcript” link under Orion Self-Service.

Former Students, Alumni and Former Employees

      • To order an official transcript, an active NetID/Galaxy is necessary.
      • If you do not have an active NetID, please complete the Former Student Reactivation form.
      • In two business days, an email verifying the active NetID will arrive.
      • Once NetID is active, click Login to Galaxy.
      • Before you request to reactivate your Galaxy/NetID account (through the form), please confirm that you no longer have access to Orion Self-Service (Student) in Galaxy. If you have an active NetID, you do not need to fill out this form. A simple check to see if your NetID account is active – were you were enrolled in the past 2 terms, OR are you enrolled in a future term. If the answer is yes to either question, then you will not need to fill out the Former Student Reactivation form. Please note, that the form is not for resetting password.
      • Former employees that no longer have Orion Self-Service (Student) in Galaxy may reactivate their student role by filling out the Former Student Reactivation form.

What if it has been two business days and I have not received reactivation instructions?

Your account may already be active. Please use the NetID Self-Service Portal to attempt to reset your password.

I am certain my information is correct, why am I still being denied?

Due to data entry changes over the years, try adding a + or +1 to the beginning of the phone number, ie. +19728832342 instead of 9728832342. Try adding a space to the city, ie. Mc Kinney instead of McKinney.

What do I do if I am a Former Employee without access to Orion Self-Service (Student) in Galaxy?

Please complete the Former Student Reactivation form and within two business days your Orion Self-Service (Student) should reactivate.

My NetID is reactivated and I have access to Self-Service (Student) in Galaxy, but the Order Official Transcript link does not open the transcript ordering page.

The reactivation process can take up to two business days to fully update your information and allow access to transcript ordering. Please be patient, and try back again in 1 business day.

Will reactivating my NetID reactivate my email address?

No, the NetID reactivation process does not reactivate your email address.


How do I change order format?

Unfortunately, we are unable to change the printing format for your order once it has begun the processing stage. If you need a different format sent, please place a new order.

Why is my electronic transcript blank?

Please make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Reader and that it is set as your default pdf viewer. If you are on a Mac, you probably have another pdf viewer set as the default. Once you have downloaded the file, right-click (or ctrl-click) and choose the “Open With” option, and select Adobe Reader.

How may I request my transcript to be held for grades/degree?

Delayed processing such as ‘Hold for Degree’ and ‘Hold for Grades’ is no longer available for transcript orders. If you need grades or degrees listed on your transcript, please check through Orion Self-service to make sure your grades or degree are posted. Once they are listed in Orion, you may place an order for a transcript.

How do I view end-of-semester grades?

Students who have access to Galaxy may print end-of-semester grades from their Orion > Self Service > Student Center. To see if grades have been posted to the academic record:

  • Login to Galaxy
  • Under Orion Self-Service (Student), click View My Grades
  • Click on the term you wish to view

How do I check the status of my transcript order?

Alumni/former students and current students can check their order status by logging into the Galaxy portal, clicking on “Order Official Transcript,” then clicking on “Order Status.” For Paper Transcripts, a status of “Delivered” means the transcript has been folded and placed in the mail. For Electronic Transcripts, “Delivered” means the transcript has been downloaded by the recipient. “Processing/Pending” means the transcript team continues to coordinate your order. “Available” means the electronic transcript is available for download.

How long does it take to process the transcript order?

Electronic orders for PDF are processed by an automated system, generally within 1 hour after you receive your order confirmation email. EDI orders are processed daily Monday through Friday. Paper orders are generally processed within 3 to 5 business days once the University Registrar’s office receives the request. During high volume periods, it may take longer to process the request.
